Keloid Removal

Keloid Removal
Keloid removal is a medical procedure to treat raised, thickened scars that extend beyond the original wound area. Keloids often develop due to trauma, surgery, burns, piercings, or acne, and can cause cosmetic concerns, discomfort, itching, or even pain.
Treatment Options
Medicine Injection
- Injection is given in order to shrinke the keloid
Surgical Excision
The keloid is surgically removed, often combined with adjunct therapies to minimize recurrence, such as corticosteroid injections or radiation therapy.
Despite surgery, recurrence rates can be high without additional treatments.
Laser Therapy
Lasers, such as pulsed dye lasers, help flatten keloids and improve their appearance by targeting scar tissue
Silicone Gel Sheets or Ointments
Applied consistently to flatten and soften keloids over time
